2026 MAKING A DIFFERENCE HONOREE 

Gwen Mizell

Gwen Mizell serves as Senior Vice President and Chief
Sustainability Officer at Ameren Corporation, where she is a
member of the Executive Leadership Team.

A committed community advocate, Mizell serves on numerous civic and nonprofit boards, including the Cardinal Ritter College Prep, the Archway (MO) Chapter of the Links Incorporated, and more recently the American Red Cross and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. She also chairs her family foundation, which provides mentorship and supportive services to help high school students and first-generation college students succeed. 

She has been recognized by Savoy Magazine as one of the Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America, the Urban League Salute of Metro St. Louis, Salute to Excellence in Women Leaders and UAB Alumni Association Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies.
