The evening was a resounding success, gathering 560 women (and a few men too!) and raising almost $150,000. which will allow us to deepen our impact through our education, community engagement, workplace and public policy advocacy, and grantmaking programs.
Jackie Joyner-Kersee served as keynote speaker, with Maxine Clark as our 2018 Making a Difference honoree.
One of the high school girls who was at the event shared these thoughts after:
“I may be told in school that I am strong or confident or a leader but I did not believe it until I sat in the room with over five hundred other women and heard them saying the same thing. It finally became a reality that I am capable of anything.”
